Danny G & the Major 7ths’ original music is inspired by Neo-Soul artists D’Angelo and J Dilla, as well as classics like Marvin Gaye and Curtis Mayfield. With emphasis on harmonies and grooves, the Major 7ths feature four vocalists and an all-star line-up. They are currently recording a debut album, set for release this year.
Ornettesque is a new group from bassist Sean Maynard. After moving to London, he’s back for this special occasion bringing us original compositions inspired by Ornette Coleman’s pianoless quartet.
The group features a fantastic front line. Yurodny’s Nick Roth on the Alto Saxophone and one of Dublin’s best jazz trombonists Colm O’hara. This time the band will be accompanied by drummer and composer Tommy Gray.
They have played in many groups in different settings over the last 10 years and from doing so have developed a wonderful rapport and sensitivity unique sound.

They draw influences from many areas, front man Richard Farrell travelled to New Orleans and Havana Cuba, mixed around with the locals to discover the simple nature of their passion for music, bass player Graham Heaney has been Dublins upstanding funk man, laying the groove any where he sets foot. Drummer Sebastian Jezzi who hails from Argentina brings with him a wizard like mastery behind the drum kit, he has a very peculiar touch, one of the most musical drummers out there. With their talents combined, this make up for a very special band, they have recently hooked up with the Hipdrop Collective to broaden their horizons.

Sami Moukaddem’s music experience often incorporates images from Lebanon . Each song has a theme that is shared with the audience prior to each performance, some pieces humorous, others sombre, and mainly up-tempo Arabic rhythms.
Leafzang Live at The International Bar in Dublin. Leafzang is a Dublin-based acoustic sextet that resides in the uncharted territory between Irish Traditional song and acoustic jazz, with instrumentation of vocals, nylon-string guitar, acoustic bass, cello, clarinets, saxophones and drums.
Bunk Live at The in International Bar in Dublin. Minimal funk quartet Bunk infuse blues into their instrumental grooves. Their tight arrangements from a four piece rhythm section of keys, guitar, bass and drums seldom, but do lean to discrete nods and winks to navigate the improvisational zones.
