-WHERE ARE THE GIGS?
All gigs will be located at at the Bello Bar (Portobello Harbour, Dublin 8) on Sundays, at 8pm, on the date agreed by the band and Donkey Jaw Productions (DJP).
-WHAT TIME DOES THE GIG START?
It starts at 8pm.
-IS IT POSSIBLE TO CHANGE THE TIME?
No. In order to retain the public’s interest, we want the gigs starting at the same time every week.
-IS THERE A SOUND-CHECK?
Yes, it will be from 6 to 7pm. No exceptions.
-WHAT TIME DO THE DOORS OPEN?
Doors are open to the public at 7pm.
-DO YOU RECORD VIDEO AND AUDIO?
Yes, we will video a number of songs on the night, and a single song video will be available to the Artist/s for their own promotion purposes.
-CAN I CHOOSE WHICH SONG IS TO BE RECORDED?
Yes, this will be done prior agreement with the artist/s.
-WHY IS THERE A DJP AND A DUBLIN JAZZ PHOTOGRAPHY LOGO DISPLAYED THROUGHOUT THE VIDEO?
As we provide this professionally mixed video to the Artist/s free of charge, we add the logos for our own promotion.
-CAN I HAVE THE PROMOTIONAL VIDEO WITHOUT THE LOGOS CONSTANTLY DISPLAYED?
Yes, but this will incur a cost to the Artist/s (to be agreed). Credits might still be inserted at the start of the video.
-CAN I GET THE WHOLE GIG RECORDED?
Yes, but only with prior agreement, in advance with DJP. This is likely to incur a cost to the Artist/s.
-WHAT IS THE QUALITY AUDIO OF THE VIDEO?
Professional sound engineer from Storm Studios will make a multichannel recording and mix same for the video.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GET THE VIDEO?
It can take up to 3 weeks to edit and finish the Video.
-Do I GET ANY STILL PHOTOGRAPHS FOR PROMOTIONAL WORK?
Yes, you get 5 photographs for promotional purposes. As the photos are provided free of charge, a Dublin Jazz Photography logo will be displayed discretely onto the photo.
-CAN I GET THE PHOTOS WITHOUT A DUBLIN JAZZ PHOTOGRAPHY LOGO?
Yes, but this will incur a cost to the Artist/s.
-DO I REQUIRE TO BE INVOLVED IN THE ONLINE PROMOTION OF THE GIG?
Yes , you will be required to promote the gig in your own online/social media platforms. eg Facebook, youtube, twitter, your website etc…
-WHAT IF I DON’T HAVE ANY WEBSITE, FACEBOOK PAGE OR ANY ONLINE PLATFORMS?
We won’t be able to consider you or your band for a gig. As the promotion campaign will be done mostly online, it is absolutely indispensable to have Social media presence and have some experience in promoting events online.
